Could be Central American Folk Art, could be 1969 Woodstock attendees, its whatever decor style you want it to be. Decorative art pair of Brayton Laguna ceramics. Made between 1940-1969. After WWII, Japanese kick-nacks flooded the American market making it impossible for this California pottery to stay profitable, despite having a contract with Disney. They ceased operations in 1969.
These are 15" which are rarer than their 10" and salt and pepper cousins. They are in excellent condition for their age, well painted and very groovy. The white paint on both is crazed but intact, which is a common issue with Brayton Laguna ceramics. No original packaging, but with etched information on base, man is J-21 and woman J-22.
